She was predeceased by: her husband George E. Hancock; her siblings, Regina, Johnny and Jay Dailey; her grandson Daniel Oliver Hancock; and her great grandchild Landon Mercer.

She is survived by: her sister Patty Dailey Frantz; and her children, Hugh, George Jr., Bonita and Angela. She is also survived by six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, as well as innumerable neighbors and friends.

“My name is Cora Dailey. I am the daughter of her late brother Jay. I met her only a handful of times and she was always warm and welcoming. The last time I saw her was in the Summer of 1999 when she invited me and my younger brother William to visit her late mother and our beloved grandmother who was safe and sound in Virginia. We grew up in Ohio we rarely experienced my late father's side of the family, but Aunt Peggy never made me feel like a stranger. I wish your family the best.”
