He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Ricks and Olivia Ricks; and his siblings, Paul W. Ricks, Rudolph Ricks, James Ricks, Thomas Ricks, Alfred Ricks, Patricia Jones, Gloria Lawrence, Delores Ricks and Odessia Moore.
A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the New St. Mark's Baptist Church (1136 St Julian Ave, Norfolk, VA 23504).
