We bid farewell to La Francis Rodgers-Rose of Norfolk, Virginia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 10, 2024 at the age of 88. La Francis touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Though La Francis may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those La Francis touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carroll M. Rodgers and Beulah P. Rodgers (Smith). She is survived by: her sister Cynthia Rodgers; her children, Henry D. Rose (Cleo) and Valija C. Rose (Daniel Blue); and her adoptive son Brian Williams. She is also survived by six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Metropolitan Funeral Service (120 W Berkley Ave, Norfolk, VA 23523).
