Khalid Aekins Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Khalid Aekins (Norfolk, Virginia), who passed away on December 9, 2024, at the age of 51, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sahib A. Salaam and Mamie L. Salaam; and his brothers, Sahib A. Salaam Jr. and Jamal Aekins. He is survived by: his siblings, Ronette Haynes (Melvin), Kimberly Boykin, Maryam Salaam, Hawa Salaam, Sakinah Salaam, Sumayah Salaam, Talib Aekins (Mattie), Adam Salaam, Shamwil Salaam and Jamil Salaam; his daughter Ariane Pointe; his granddaughters, Stoney and Denylah Pointe; and his son Daquan Steven. He is also survived by Aunties, Nieces, Nephews and cousins, along with special neighbors and friends.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel (6329 E Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk, VA 23502).
