He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelius Jones and Malvina Jones; and his granddaughters, Jamecia and Aaliyah Cross. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his daughters, Vickie J. Presley (Tyrone) of Port Orange, FL, Beverly Jones of Brooklyn, NY and Deborah Jones (James) of Virginia Beach, VA; his godsons, Clemon Everett of Houston, TX and Daneek Miller of Queens, NY; his sister Ethel Miller; his siblings-in-law, Paulette, Beaulah Mae Everett of Ashboro, NC, JoAnne Everett of Brooklyn, NY and Les Everett (Steve Ball); and his grandchildren, Dr. Tai Lynn Swift (Emmanuel) of Port Orange, FL, Kayla of Virginia Beach, VA, Jared of Brooklyn, NY and Kylana. He is also survived by great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Graves Funeral Home (1631 Church St, Norfolk, VA 23504). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Mt. Bethel Baptist Church (4636 Indian River Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23456). A burial will be held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery (5310 Milners Rd, Suffolk, VA 23434).
