He was predeceased by: his parents, Morris Randolph Duck and Lorraine Carr Duck; his brother George Morris Duck; and also, Deborah and Estes Copeland.
He is survived by: his husband Hugh Copeland; his sisters-in-law, Ann Duck, Marcia Carpenter (Walt) and Peggy Hedrick (Randy); his nieces and nephews, Shannon Rose, Brandi Duck, Nicole Carpenter (Eric), Ashley Cordova (Ramses), David Hedrick (Meaghan) and Scott Hedrick (Brooke); his great-niece Avery Rose; his great-nephew Brantley Gray; and his aunts, Helen Holland and Glenda Carr. He is also survived by many cousins and countless friends.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Christ and St. Lukes Episcopal Church (560 W Olney Rd, Norfolk, VA 23517).
