He was predeceased by: his brother Philip Lamont Giles of Brooklyn, NY.; and his friend Angela Hoskie of Norfolk, VA.. He is survived by: his parents, James Oliver Giles, Sr. of Newport News, VA and Sharron Giles Dansby (Charles) of Upper Marlboro, MD; his children, James Jr., Jaimela, Jaylon, Asiyana, Jamari, Jaliyah and Jamison; his grandsons, Osaris Giles and Jevario Cooke; his sisters, Antoinelle Hansley of Waldorf, MD, Amy Barrington (Reno) of Portsmouth, VA and Lisa Durham of Norfolk, VA; and his friends, Sheena Ratcliff, Nicole Liggins, Rachel Giles, Tenesha White and Terecia Adkinson. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews.
Viewing was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Calvary Evangelical Baptist Church (205 Gust Ln, Portsmouth, VA 23701). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location.
