He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Austin Mason, Sr. (Pete) and Clara Omega Eggleston Mason; his brother Timothy Charles Mason (Timmy); and his granddaughter Chloe Mason. He is survived by: his children, Emily Lynn Mason, Beth Ann Mason, Eugene Austin Mason III (Amber) and Adam Blake Mason (Megan); his grandchildren, Cameron, Amiyah, Collin, Makenzie, Blake, Maria, Mailani and Braxton; his siblings, Carol "Cissy" Bodner (James) and James "Jimmy" Mason (Barbara); his nieces and nephews, Tim (Julie), Sarah, Brian (Tori), James and Amy; and his close friends, Nancy and Laurie.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Norfolk Chapel (1501 Colonial Ave, Norfolk, VA 23517). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Temple Baptist Church (3300 Tidewater Dr, Norfolk, VA 23509).
