In loving memory of Edward Mark Rafal (Norfolk, Virginia), who departed this world on September 5, 2024 at the age of 74. Edward Mark leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Edward Mark may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Rafal and Goldye Rafal. He is survived by: his sister Donna Brownstein; his cousin Janet Kass; and his close friend Socko Pearson. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to the Ohef Sholom Temple.

“I have so many wonderful memories of my friendship with Ed on the streets of Midfield and Forsythe - softball at Granby High, football at the Greek Church, basketball in his back yard and at Socko’s and of course just hanging out and playing pool in Socko’s front room. He fulfilled his potential in every way thanks to his friends and family and his own efforts to work and play hard. I am grateful that I knew Ed.”
