Though Earvin may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Earvin Bates, Sr. and Willie Ruth Lucas Bates; his wife Mary JoAnne Fambrough Bates; his daughters, Fredrinka Iyinbor (Westley), Sindrinka Bates and Katrina Bates; and his grandsons, Christopher Iyinbor, Justin Vargas and Jason Iyinbor.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Southside Chapel (5033 Rouse Dr, Virginia Beach, VA 23462). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Albert G. Horton Memorial Veteran's Cemetery (5310 Milners Rd, Suffolk, VA 23434).
