She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Lucille Davenport and James Johnson; her husband Ricky Banks; her children, Anitra Johnson, Ricky Johnson and Jermaine Parham; her grandchildren, Ricky Johnson Jr., Taeshon Johnson, Raquel Johnson, Queyonte Johnson, Daneisha Johnson, Courtney Johnson and Taniyah Johnson; her great grandchild India Johnson; her daughter Shelvy Richardson; her sisters-in-law, Vivian Banks, Arndreer Brown, Beverly Brooks and Jackie Webb; her grandmother Golden Davenport; her uncle James Davenport; her aunt Shirley Anne Curtis; her son Terrance Parham; and her siblings-in-law, Jerry Banks, Cleveland Banks and Mattie Cherry. She was also cherished by her family, friends.

She was a mentor and role model to many of her colleagues, and her contributions to the field will be remembered for years to come.
