She was predeceased by: her husband William K. Riley; her son William M. Riley; her parents, Robert P. Harvell and Elda Marie Baldwin; and her siblings, Linda Sessor, Shelby White and Robert "Buddy" P. Harvell, Jr..
She is survived by: her daughters, Betty Crabtree of Florida, Linda Reihl (Dave) of Maryland, Brenda Kimler (Kenny) of Virginia and Lisa Dunbar (Gwinn) of Virginia; her grandchildren, Jennifer Hacker (Danny), James Mahone (Nyssa), Laura Markham (Andrew), Sarah Reihl, Brandon Kimler (Diana), Kendall Kimler (Jessica), Elisabeth Kimler (Chris), Jamie Kimler, Heather Esposito (Tim) and Jenna (Jonathan); her great grandchildren, Sydney, Samwell, Rose, Benjamin, Aidan, Navaeh, Savannah, Liam, Ainsley, Colton, Dean, Naomi, Katalina, Kisara, Alayna, Jacqueline and Aria; and her close friends, Gail, Jean, Liz, Pat, Ramona and Sandra.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home (8464 Tidewater Dr, Norfolk, VA 23518). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 12:15 PM at the Forest Lawn Cemetery (8100 Granby St, Norfolk, VA 23505).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Shriner's Hospitals for children in memory of Betty J. Riley.
