It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bessie Jordan Peris (Norfolk, Virginia), born in Sanford, North Carolina, who passed away on October 25, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Anthony Jordan and Evangeline Jordan; her husband Marcus; her son Steven; and her brother Anthony Jordan, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Patricia P. Longworth (Mike) and Anthony M. Peris; her grandsons, Marcus Longworth (Heather) and Ernie Longworth (Tracy); her great grandchildren, Tanner, Toby, Ethan, Abigail and Aiden; her sister-in-law Barbara Jordan; and her caregivers, Amanda and Patty. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Norfolk Chapel (1501 Colonial Ave, Norfolk, VA 23517). A graveside service was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Forest Lawn Cemetery (8100 Granby St, Norfolk, VA 23505).
