With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Annie Mae Simpkins in Norfolk, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 5, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee Gladden and Johnnie Gladden; and her husband Joseph "Larry" Simpkins. She is survived by: her children, Denise Jernigan (Keith), Ronald Simpkins, Rhoda Filhiol and Reginald Simpkins (Joyce); her grandchildren, Natasha, Ronald, Reginald (Tamica), Keosha (Cedric) and Joseph; and her brother Kristopher Smith. She is also survived by in-laws and great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Graves Funeral Home (1631 Church St, Norfolk, VA 23504). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Graves Funeral Home Chapel (1631 Church St, Norfolk, VA 23504).
