She was predeceased by: her parents, William Paul and Mary Alice Cooke; and her husband Earl Everett Daugherty. She is survived by: her children, Sherry Graves (Jeffrey), Earlene Wilson, Jenny Kozlowski, James Daugherty and Cherri Cox. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Altmeyer Funeral Home (5033 Rouse Dr, Virginia Beach, VA 23462). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Gateway Free Will Baptist Church (5473 Virginia Beach Blvd, Virginia Beach, VA 23462). A graveside service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Riverside Cemetery (1000 E Indian River Rd, Norfolk, VA 23523).
