She was predeceased by: her parents, James Mitchell and Jessee Mitchell; and her son Darrell "D. J.". She is survived by: her sister Blanche Smith; her husband Darrell McCoy Sr.; her children, Monica Carico of Salem, Oregon and David McCoy (Kelly) of Gray, Tennessee; her granddaughter Adalee McCoy; and her siblings, Mary Moriarty of New Mexico, Jessie Roche of Aurora, Illinois, James Mitchell of Aurora, Illinois, Steve Mitchell of Aurora, Illinois and Art Mitchell of Aurora, Illinois. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
