He was predeceased by: his parents, Myra Mae Greear and James Lawrence Amburgey; his grandson Matthew Weintz; and his siblings, Connie, Avon, Lawrence Lee and Adolph.

He is survived by: his grandson Mason Weintz of Nokesville; and his brother Jack Amburgey of Independence, OH..
