She was predeceased by: her parents, James Edward Newcomer and Sally Lee Tharpe Newcomer; her husband Wallace Garrison Wright; her siblings, Eunice Newcomer, Roy, John and Charles Newcomer; and her niece Ruth Ann Newcomer.

She is survived by: her daughters, Paula Wright (Nokesville) and Nancy House (Wade House); her granddaughters, Lindsay House (Gainesville) and Sarah House (Gainesville); her sister Sophie Ann Erlwein (George); and her sisters-in-law, Rev. Libby Wright (Hampton), Hilda Newcomer (Harrisonburg) and Martha Newcomer (Scottsville).
