He was predeceased by: his parents, Malloy Slemp and Hettie Dotson Slemp; his stepfather Teston Hamilton; and his sisters, Anna Helen Mullins and Polly Lane.

He is survived by: his wife Donna Atkins; his children, Dallas (Vivian), Delores, Sandra Mullins (Pernell) and Jamie (Lisa); and his siblings, Reba Strouth, Jean Strouth, Jerry Slemp, Patty Garrison (David), Jedy McConnell and Wayne Hamilton (Terry). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may take the form of a donation to the Colchester Free Will Baptist Church, or the charity or church mission of your choice.
