He was predeceased by: his brothers, Ronald Nelson and Foster Baker, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Joan; his son David Lee Baker, Jr.; his grandchildren, Tristan Baker and Hayden Baker; and his sister Kathy Nelson Sneary.

A funeral service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Pierce Funeral Home (9609 Center St, Manassas, VA 20110). A burial was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (6430 Token Forest Dr, Manassas, VA 20112).
