Maxie Salyer Jessee Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 6, 2021, at the age of 92, Maxie Salyer Jessee of Nickelsville, Virginia, born in Castlewood, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dent Harrison and Lula Bell Burton Salyer; her husband Buford Lester Jessee; her daughter Barbara Keith; and her siblings, Corbin, Turner, W. B. Salyer and Carneila Meade Bellamy.
She is survived by: her daughter Mary Lou Gordon (Robert) of Lenexa, Kansas; her granddaughters, Pamela Gordon of Seguin, Kayla Gibson (Caleb) of Kents Store and Dorothy Vicars (Tim) of Abingdon, Virginia; her great grandchild Hunter Meade; her brother Emmett Salyer (Sonja) of Castlewood, Virginia; and her son-in-law Elmore "Mody" Keith of Nickelsville, Virginia. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID-19, the family requests those attending the Visitation and Services to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
