He is survived by: his son John H. Stapleton, Jr. (Lesa); his grandchildren, Jared Stapleton, Lance Stapleton and Shena Buckles; his great grandchildren, Shea, Sidney and Michael; his sisters, Nell Kendrick (Fred), Marie Addington, Flo Minton (Steve) and Carol Culbertson; and his friend Ruth Cleek. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
