He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie E. Meade and Sarah Meade (Burke); his wife Margaret Lou Sluss Meade; his son Gary "Meado" Meade; his son-in-law Larry Glen "Dickie" Dockery; and his brother Roy "Buck" Meade.
He is survived by: his daughter Debbie Jo Dockery of Nickelsville, VA; his grandchildren, Matthew Dockery (Kim) of Castlewood, VA, Mark Dockery (Katie Jo) of Nickelsville, VA and Meagan J. Meade of Nickelsville, VA; his great grandchildren, Alexis Kite of Castlewood, VA, Jordan Dockery, Kedric Dockery, Jackson Dockery and Loxley Jo Dockery; his sisters-in-law, Joyce Meade of Nickelsville, VA and Virginia Campbell of Nickelsville, VA; and his close friends, Cathy Criswell of Nickelsville, VA and Sherry Burton of Nickelsville, VA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
