He was predeceased by: his parents, Nathan A. Dougherty, Sr. and Orpha Harris Dougherty; his former wife Gertrude King Dougherty; his siblings, Nathan Dougherty, Jr., Lowell Dougherty, Ruby Broadwater, Clarice Gillenwater and Evelyn Dougherty; and his nephews, Larry Gillenwater, Winfred Dougherty and Michael Dougherty.
He is survived by: his wife Pat Dougherty; his son Barry Dougherty (Debbie); his grandchildren, Justin Dougherty (Rachel), Kara Smith (Nick) and Kristin Ford (Valintino); his sister Joan Enix (Randell); and his pet Madia. He is also survived by 2 step sons; 9 step grandchildren and 1 step grandchild.
