He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Vernon and Nannie Kate Dean (Dean); his sister Lucille; his brother-in-law Gary McMurray; his brothers, Doug Dean and Charlie Dean; and his brother-in-law Mack Sluss.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Louise Dean; his siblings, Mary Sluss of Nickelsville, VA, Christine Saul and Ronnie Dean (Wilma); and his brothers-in-law, Gene Kegley (Brenda), Jimmy Kegley (Alice) and Grover. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
