He was predeceased by: his parents, Ezra Salyer and Maggie Salyer (Page). He is survived by: his wife Gaye Salyer; his children, Angela White (Johnny), Tim Salyer (Jill), Donna Darnell (Brian Stevens) and Wes Salyer (Nikki Harris); his grandchildren, Amber Shepard (Everett), Madison Oppermann (Riley), Maddox Salyer, Shiloah Darnell, Tristan Salyer (Kaitlin) and Andrew Salyer; and his great grandchildren, Destini, Hayley Barnett and Cole Shepard.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gate City Funeral Home (136 Beech St, Gate City, VA 24251). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel (136 Beech St, Gate City, VA 24251). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 10:45 AM and at 11:00 AM.
