It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bessie Jeter of Newtown, Virginia, who passed away on November 5, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Fannie Johnson and Grover Johnson of King. She is survived by: her children, Margorie Holmes (Johnny), Robert Douglas (Maxine) and Lewis Berry; her siblings, Galveston Johnson (Carolyn), Annie Johnson, Francis Davis and Caroline Robinson; her daughter-in-law LaVerne Berry; and her brother-in-law Timothy Thomas of New Jersey. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; forty two great grandchildren; eleven great great grandchildren.
