She was predeceased by: her husband James C. "Crack" Story; her parents, Charles Franklin Whitfield and Clio King Whitfield; and her brothers, Franklin, Marion and Elliott Whitfield.
She is survived by: her daughters, Virginia Lee Story of Newsoms and Constance Story Roberson (Fred) of Durham, NC; her grandchildren, Ed and Kristen Roberson; and her great grandchild Anson Roberson.
The family suggests that memorial donations be made to Franklin Baptist Church.
