It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Madiline Ray of Newport, Virginia, who passed away on January 14, 2024, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Robert Whittaker Sr. and Aleene Oliver Whitaker; and her siblings, Robert Whitaker Jr. and Betty Ann Hungate. She is survived by : her pets, Chi-Chi and Rocky; and her siblings, Dorothy Harvey (Darrell) of Newport, VA, Sandra Price of Radford, Ella Clayton (Hunter) of Pembroke and Darrell Whitaker of California. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
