It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Martin Edward Keffer of Newport, Virginia, who passed away on June 8, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Elbert Lee Keffer and Minnie Exie Keffer; his sisters, Janie Smith, Lorene Meadows and Marion Lowe Eppard; his wife Donna Breen Keffer; his son Lawrence; his daughter-in-law Lorrie Keffer of Salem, Virginia; his grandson Blake Keffer (Hope) of Salem, Virginia; his siblings, Lane Keffer of Pearisburg, Virginia and Mary Catherine Williams (Don) of Bluefield, Virginia; and his sister-in-law Janet Breen of Marion, Virginia.

Visitation was held on Thursday, June 13th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Kendall Funeral Home (605 Snidow St, Pembroke, VA 24136). A funeral service was held on Thursday, June 13th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Newport Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 122, Newport VA. 24128 or Edgewood United Methodist Church, 206 Magnolia Dr., Ripplemead, VA. 24150.
