Herbert Arthur Martin Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Herbert Arthur Martin of Newport, Virginia, who passed away on November 16, 2022 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Elbert Jackson "Jack" Martin; his brothers, William Jackson Martin, Roy Alvis (Norma Jean Martin) and Curtis (Lorraine Martin); and his friends, Nelson Hypes and Larry Higginbotham.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ann Perdue Martin; his daughter Melinda Dawn Martin Ogle (Joseph Matthew Ogle); his grandchildren, Chayton Andrew Ogle and Carolyn Ann Ogle; his sisters, Patricia Lindsey (Bill) of Hurt, VA, Loretta Smith of Pembroke, VA and Brenda Linkous (Don) of Pearisburg, VA; and his sister-in-law Maldeen Martin of Newport, VA. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
