He is survived by : his wife Hazel Lipes; his daughter Lorrie; his son-in-law Lawrence Keffer of Salem Va; his son Brian; his daughter-in-law Brenda Lipes of New Castle Va; his grandsons, Blake Keffer (Hope) of Salem Va and Brad Lipes (Sarina) of Newport Va; his great grandchildren, Graylynn, Quaid Keffer and Ashlyn Lipes; his sisters, Evelyn Duncan, Sue Snider and Cornette Caldwell; and his sister-in-law Hulda Snider.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his honor to the Simmonsville Volunteer Fire Department or Level Green Christian Church.
