She was predeceased by: her parent Thearry Garrett. She is survived by: her mother Veola Garrett; her siblings, Tim Garrett of Charlotte, NC, Taiwanna Garrett-Sullivan (Shonta) of Charlotte, NC, Eric Hill of Charlotte, NC and Michael Harris of Kernersville, NC.; her nieces, Tayj (Logan), Nadiyah (Elijah), Aniya and Jasmine; and her great-niece Nora Mixson. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, and a host of cousins.

“Barbara McRae February 21, 2025 I extend my condolence to Tammy's family and friends. She is away, but she'll never be forgotten. She has slipped from the bonds of earth, but memories of her will live on forever in our hearts. I met Tammy in 2006, when she came to my car and assisted me into the church. She repeated this many Sundays. Her warmth and genuine kindness were consistent and heartfelt. Rest in PEACE dear Tammy.”
