She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Hanks and Ida Mae Hanks; her brother Jerry Hanks; and her granddaughter Adriona Hanks. She is survived by: her daughters, Tianna Hanks Hartsfield and Tamisha Hanks; her grandchildren, Allena, Isaiah Hanks and Janeta Hartsfield; her brother Walter Hanks (Julian); and her sister-in-law Viola Hanks. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and few very close friends.
