It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nancy Miller Fenton of Newport News, Virginia, who passed away on November 25, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Nancy departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Nancy. Though Nancy may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Miller and Margaret Miller; her husband Irvin Fenton Jr.; her granddaughter Kerry Harrington Baumann; her sister Alverta Miller Nelson; and her grandmothers, F. Harrington (Johnnie), Amy F. Leong (George) and Carol F. Benson (Peter). She is also survived by six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the W. J. Smith & Son Funeral Home (210 Harpersville Rd, Newport News, VA 23601). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, Nancy requested donations be made to Peninsula Rescue Mission Women's Home, P. O. Box 377, Newport News, VA 23607.
