She was predeceased by: her parents, Hattie Parker and Howard T. Bailey; her husband Melvin Walker, Sr.; and her siblings, Herbert Bailey, Betti Ann Bailey, Lenora Wardrick, Melinda White, Elnora Wallace and Joyce B. Williams "Mookie".
She is survived by: her children, Gwendolyn D. Oglesby (John) of Chesapeake, Melvin R. Walker Jr. of Hampton and Joy P. W. Riddick of Hampton. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
