She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Haynesworth and Lucille Haynesworth. She is survived by: her husband Michael Holter; her nieces and nephews, Walter, Zonta, Kiara, Tevin, Earnest, Sha-Nina and Raheem; and her siblings, Julia, Dorothy, Earnest, George (Yvonne), Thelma, Stella, Walter, Willie and Shirley. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, her church family, and a host of friends.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the C. C. Carter Funeral Home (3700 Marshall Ave, Newport News, VA 23607). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (3628 Campbell Rd, Newport News, VA 23602). A burial was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at the Hampton Memorial Gardens (155 Butler Farm Rd, Hampton, VA 23666).
Through her foundation, the Gamboa Holter Foundation, she dedicated herself to ministry, never hesitating to extend a hand to those in need.
