She was predeceased by: her husband Daniel Meckley; her parents, Herbert Simms and Lessie Simms; and her mother-in-law Patricia Meckley. She is survived by: her father-in-law John Meckley; her sisters, Jean Simms, Barbara Simms and LaVerne Dakers (Todd); her nieces and nephews, Sierra, Monique (Nicholas), Sidney, Sophie, Hannah, Lily, Terrell, Max and Ben; her great-niece Kaylee; her great-nephews, Joey and David; her aunts, Pasty Evans (Clarence), Nancy Parsley (Webb) and Betty Stiles; her uncle Wallace; and her close friend Tino Woods. She is also survived by cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel (1601 27th St, Newport News, VA 23607).
