She was predeceased by: her parents, Lionel Edward Meredith and Eunice East Meredith; her brothers, Lionel, Jr. and Reginald Meredith; and her daughter-in-law Lisa Brooks Hefner.
She is survived by: her husband Jerry N Hefner, Sr. of Newport News; her daughter Terri Hefner West (Craig); her grandchildren, Garner West and Tallie West of Apex, NC; her son Jerry Hefner, Jr.; her grandchildren, Meredith Hefner and Matthew Hefner of Goochland, VA; and her sisters, Barbara Jenkins and Dottie Thomas of Jacksonville, FL. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
