He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Alt and Fannie Alt; and his brother-in-law Richard Shelton. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Martin Alt; his children, Marlin P. Alt, Jr. of Virginia Beach, Linda C. Alt of Virginia Beach, Judith A. Carson of Virginia Beach, Sharon D. Alt of Virginia Beach and Jay Rhodes of Rockingham; and his siblings, Darwin Alt of Manassas and Dawn Shelton of Florida. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

The family would appreciate it if those attending the service wear masks.
