He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. Simmons and Edna R. Hedrick Simmons. He is survived by: his wife Polly Ann Gochenour Simmons; his children, Carolyn Ann Simmons of New Market, Lisa Ann Simmons Ritchie (Bruce) of New Market and Michael Allen Simmons (Krystal) of New Market; his sister Rosalee Kagey of McGaheysville; his grandchildren, Brandon Freeman (Tiffany), Christopher Strawderman, Nathan Strawderman, Stephanie Bowers, Caleb Clinedinst, Courtney Ritchie and Evan Simmons; his great grandchild Branch Freeman; his close friend Maynard Zirkle; and also Gary Hottinger.
