He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Lincoln and Vesta Nesselrodt Thompson; and his daughter Jennifer D. Thompson. He is survived by: his children, Melba D. Mitchell (Jeremie Southerly) of Timberville and Shawn B. Thompson of New Market; his grandchildren, Brooklyn D. Mitchell (Tyler Payne) of Mt. Jackson and Hunter B. Anderson (Madison Saunders) of Timberville; his great grandchildren, Brynnlee D. Anderson, Ashlynn Payne, Rhyatt Payne and Tatum Payne; and his siblings, Larry Thompson (Sheila) of Timberville, Dennis "Joe" Thomspon, Sr. (Judy) of Lacey Spring, Dwight "Timmy" Thomspon of Timberville and Sandra Williams of New Market.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Valley Cemetery (11583 Mountain Valley Rd, Harrisonburg, VA 22802).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorial contributions be made to Grandle Funeral Home, P.O. Box 114, Broadway, VA 22815 to help offset funeral expenses.
