He was predeceased by: his parents, Solomon M. Wesley and Genevieve P. Wesley. He is survived by: his cousin Ann (Charles Sr.); his sisters, Cheryl and Belinda (Tomeka Byrd); his great-aunt Fannie Burrell; and his aunts, Yevola Peters and Mary Wesley.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honor of Shawn Wesley to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or the Massey Cancer Center at Virginia Commonwealth University.
