It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Wendell Degowin (New Kent, Virginia), who passed away on October 4, 2019, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Esten R. DeGowin and Josephine Lang DeGowin; and his wife Eleanor Henry DeGowin. He is survived by: his children, Barbara J. DeGowin Rondeau (David J.) of New Kent, VA and Robert E. DeGowin (Renate) of Germany; his grandsons, Joseph Rondeau (Laura) of Gloucester and Robert A. DeGowin (Judy) of Culpeper, VA; and his close friend Joyce Smith of Williamsburg, VA.. He is also survived by great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
