It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Allen Yates Sr. (New Kent, Virginia), who passed away on July 7, 2019, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Phyllis Caudle Yates; his parents, Robert Lee Yates Jr. and Mary Elizabeth Butler; and his daughter Jean Allen Hostetter Talley. He is survived by: his sons, Robert Allen Jr. and David Scott; and his brothers, Frank Yates and Owen "Wayne" Yates.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hopewell Baptist Church.
