He is survived by: his daughters, Gayle Thom (James), Darleen Hines (Eric) and Valorie Thompson-Robinson (Eric); his grandchildren, James A. Thom, IV, Katrina Loperl and Janna Thom; his great grandchild Mariah Chanel Smith; his brother-in-law Floyd Miller, Sr.; his daughter Daphne Patron; and his caregivers, Dee, Shirley and Linda. He is also survived by grandfather to his grandkids.
