He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Holmes and Aleatha Holmes; and his siblings, Everett Jr., Ernest, Rodgers, Tom "Lowell", Dwain, Pauline Stewart, Bertha Adkins and Arnell Holmes.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ann Holmes; his sons, James and Wayne Holmes; and his grandchildren, Jessica, Amber, Alexis, Jayla and Skylar. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren; as well as many extended family members, his church family and his friends.
