It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Douglas Moore of New Kent, Virginia, who passed away on September 12, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband James K. Moore; her son Jamie Moore, Jr.; and her siblings, Hubbert Douglas, Garland Lee Douglas, Billy Douglas, Ballard and Dianne Baldwin.
She is survived by: her daughter Joy Blake (Erik); her daughter-in-law Holly Moore; her granddaughter Tabitha Luke (Chris); her great grandchildren, Calum and Aria; and her siblings, Myrtle "Sissie" Moore, Ruby Bowers and Jerry Douglas.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hopewell Baptist Church in New Kent, VA or a local animal shelter.
