She is survived by: her husband Grover Carpenter; her children, Christopher, Aaron, Jonathan and Raven Newcomb (Lee); her grandchildren, Lamar, Christopher Jr., Ronald, Layla, Eliana, Jaylin, Kelani, Jonathan Jr., Whisper, Jasper and Juniper; and her siblings, Margaret Brown, Dorothy Justice, Gwendolyn Reed (Joe), Jacqueline Johnson, Jeanette Scott (William), James Johnson Jr., Juanita Johnson, Vivian Grant, Barbara Johnson, Roosevelt Johnson, Richard Johnson and James Roane. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
