With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Brenda Gayle Dawkins Lambert (New Kent, Virginia), born in Rockingham, North Carolina, who passed away on October 21, 2019 at the age of 66. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Marjorie Carter Parker and James Alexander Dawkins, Jr.; her stepfather Edwin Parker; her brother Charlie Dawkins; her sons, Ted Lambert and Matthew Lambert (Anna); her grandson Preston; and her siblings, Ruth Hubbard, Jamie Dailey (Tom), Donna Parker (Jaye) and Glenn Parker.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Matthew's Haven (Matthewshaven.org).

“I am so sad that Brenda has lost her long, hard-fought battle with cancer. She was a fighter all the way, and her positive attitude inspired us all. We both worked for the Extrusion Div of Reynolds Metals during the 80's and 90's, taking different paths for many years, however did re-connect just last year. Brenda was a remarkable personality, and I will always miss her bright personality and our friendship. Deepest sympathy for your loss.”
